It’s sad news. But amidst this sad news comes some really great news. Last March 3 this year, the Humane Society of the United States had rescued about 295 dogs from a Puppy Mill in Madison County, Arkansas.
The Society said it received reports from the suspected Puppy Mill from its tip line. Local authorities, along with the group, rushed the property with a search warrant. They found carcasses and piles of bones, probably of dogs, across the property. Many dogs were in tiny cages covered in their own waste. The animals were improperly treated as they lacked clean water and food.
Right after, the Society moved the animals to a temporary emergency shelter where the 295 dogs would receive proper medical treatment.
