Marines Carry The Casket Of Their Fallen Furry Comrade

War is never a beautiful thing. Even in defending our nation’s borders, it’s never a beautiful sight when one of our brothers-in-arms dies. Also, when it’s a dog serving the country’s security.

The Marine corps is only made of the best and Rico the amazing dog is one of them.

He served two tours in Afghanistan looking out for the safety of his platoon. He has survived over 30 encounters and had aided Marine Staff Sgt. Russ Beckley Jr. at every twist and turn.

Rico came home with the Staff Sergeant and lived 12 full years under their care. When he died, the Sergeant dressed in their best military fashion and gave Rico the burial of a true hero.
