During Kitty Season, One Nursery Stays Open Day And Night!

Chris Poole, the Human behind the famous YouTube cats Cole and Marmalade, documented how the San Diego Humane Society’s Kitten Nursery handled Kitty Season. Kitty Season is a once-a-year-event where the numbers of kittens born are staggering. The SDHS’ nursery is open for 24 hours. All kittens are given shelter, fed, groomed and attended to.

Most kittens would be euthanized by shelters due to resource shortages. With continued donations, the SDHS Kitten Shelter is capable of attending to a great number of kittens born during Kitty Season.
