Blind Bengal Cat Finds Home In A New Sanctuary For Wildcats

Bengal cats, as invulnerable as they may appear, are beautiful animals and to see one suffer a disease that it might not recover from is truly heartbreaking. Bengal cats are not household cats but some people own them. Ciega is one household Bengal cat, and she was turning blind slowly.

She was 10-month-old when she was found with poor eyesight and her former owner must have abandoned her because of her blindness. Whoever these individuals were, they left Ciega on her own with her infected eyes when she was young.

Today, she’s living in The Wildcat Sanctuary and her eyes were closed by immediate surgery. She has also made friends with other Bengal cats and is now 13-years-old
